Ardelle · weddings and evenings in the Lebanese hills
The day, as you will want to remember it.
We plan and direct weddings and small celebrations, from the first call to the last song. Calm on the day, careful in every detail before it.
You should be a guest at your own wedding.
- One
One planner, start to finish. The person you meet at the first coffee is the person holding the run-of-day on the night.
- Two
Everything on paper. Two weeks before, every supplier and every family member who needs it has the same minute-by-minute plan.
- Three
A plan for the weather. We agree plan B with you months ahead, so on the day nobody has to decide anything in a hurry.
An evening we planned
One evening in September, in four chapters.
A wedding for one hundred and forty guests on an olive terrace above Batroun. Scroll slowly.

Arrival
5:40 in the evening

Guests walk up through the grove. The lanterns were hung the afternoon before, and tested at dusk.

Each guest is handed a napkin tied with olive from the grove. Their seat is already known.

Nobody is looking for the bar. Someone has already shown them.
Ceremony
6:25, as the sun goes

We moved the ceremony forty minutes earlier, after standing here at the same hour a year before.

So the sun sets behind the two of them, and not in their guests' eyes.

Eleven minutes. Nobody looked at a phone.
Dinner
7:30, under the trees

One table. One hundred and forty chairs, under the trees her grandmother planted.

Bread from the village oven. Figs from the terrace below.

Her brother's toast ran long. The kitchen had been told it might.
The night
9:50, and late

The dancing starts when the couple decides. Not when the schedule says.

By midnight the candles are low. A jacket stays behind. We post it on Monday.

They left at twenty past one. The terrace was swept by two.
Other evenings
Every celebration has its own weather.

How we work
Taste you can feel. Calm you can rely on.
We take on a small number of weddings each year, so every couple has our full attention. Most start planning nine to twelve months ahead. Many of them live abroad and plan with us by video call, while we are their eyes on the ground.
How a year with us goes
Four things are enough to begin.
A date, or a season. Roughly how many people. A place, or a feeling about a place. And one sentence about how the day should feel.
Ask about your dateEvenings
Three evenings, three kinds of light.
Each one began with a single sentence from the people celebrating. Here is what they asked for, and what we did with it.
-
i.
A wedding on an olive terrace
"Like the long dinners at her grandmother's house."
-
ii.
A winter wedding for forty
"Small, warm, and nobody checks their phone."
-
iii.
An engagement dinner under a lemon tree
"A summer night at home, only everyone we love is there."
Planning something with its own kind of light?
Ask about your dateHow we work
We worry early, so you don't have to later.
Ardelle is two planners and a small circle of makers we have trusted for years: florists, cooks, lighting, musicians. We plan a handful of weddings each year and direct every one of them ourselves.

A year with us, in four moments.
- Twelve months out
The first conversation
Coffee in our studio, or a video call from wherever you live. We listen for the feeling you want, and ask about the people who matter most. You leave with a written summary and an honest view of what the day could cost.
- Nine months out
The place, at the right hour
We visit every shortlisted place at the hour your ceremony would happen, because light, wind and noise change everything. Then we book it, and the makers who suit it.
- Three months out
Everything on paper
Seating, timings, music cues, a weather plan, who greets your grandmother at the gate. One document, minute by minute, shared with everyone who needs it two weeks before.
- The day
We run it. You attend it.
We arrive at seven in the morning and leave after the last supplier. If something goes wrong, you will hear about it on Monday, already solved.

Three ways to work with us
- Full planning
- From the first idea to the last guest home. For couples starting nine to twelve months ahead.
- Design and direction
- You have the place. We shape how it looks, sounds and moves, and run the day itself.
- The final eight weeks
- You planned it. We take it over eight weeks before, check every booking, and direct the day.
Every wedding is quoted in writing after the first conversation, with nothing added later.
Coming home to get married?
Many of our couples live in Paris, Dubai, Montreal or London and fly in a few days before. We plan by video call, send short films of every place we visit, and handle the parts that are hard from far away: families, permits, suppliers who only answer the phone.
Ask about your dateAsk about your date
Tell us about your day.
Four things are enough to start. We reply within two working days, usually with a question or two and a time to talk.
Where we meet
Our studio is in the hills above the northern coast, a short drive from Byblos. We meet by appointment, or at the place you have in mind. For couples abroad, the first conversation is a video call.
